To enter you must Send us a copy of your book (non-returnable) with contact information for consideration to the 2006 Black Book Awards™ Program.

Guidelines:

1. If your book is selected for nomination, a letter will be sent to you informing you that your book has been nominated for a Black Book Awards.

2. Each author must register by May 1st for their book to be considered for an award. Registration fee will be specified in the nomination letter. Registration entitles each author to present and sell their book during the Literary Festival.

3. Every author that register will receive a certificate of nomination for the Black Book Awards.

4. Awards may be presented for the following category: Fiction, Non-Fiction, Self-help, Poetry, New-writer, Young-reader (children's), and Hip-Hop book. Other awards presented that enhance the advancement and knowledge of Black people throughout the world are:

The Carter G. Woodson Award is presented to the individual whose book does the most to reeducate Black people.

The Afrikan Unity Award is presented to the individual that helps to promote unity among Black people.

The John Henrik Clark Award is presented to the person whose book continues the legacy of the great educator and thinker of Black (World) History, Dr. John Henrik Clark.

The Nat Turner Award is presented to the person whose book fights Black Oppression of any kind.
